And while I am at it, I will recommend this super good book. It is a "body, mind, spirit" book, but the author isn't coo-coo like in most "self-help" books. And I wouldn't describe it as a self-help book, but more of a self-improvement book. It is how to make your "body, mind, spirit" as healthy as you can and to gain more energy in the process. It has actually worked with me, and not to mention I have lost eight pounds as well. Just a recommendation if you are interested. (It gets you thinking.)

And if you end up reading it, call me or email me. I would love to know your thoughts and discuss it.

Sorry, that's supposed to read YOUR. Our "Y" doesn't alwas work.
So, you can't eat animal products according to her? I know you will lose weight because of it, but I really like ice cream. What to do.=)
Oh heavens Heather, there is no way I could give up cheese. (Never, ever, ever.) I would never consider myself "vegetarian" or "vegan" because you know I love my burgers. But I found all of her reasons for these eating styles very compelling. Particularly that the "animal products" of today are very different than they were in the past. They are so full of unhealthy things, particularly steroids, that could possibly be linked to our obesity and cancer epidemics. Plus, we American's are addicted to our animal products, particularly meat, and eat entirely too much of it. Plus the ethical behavior of the companies that provide these products to us (animal treatment, secrecy of possible health effects, political lobbying) was pretty interesting. I am definitely "leaning" in the direction of the healthier, more conscious eating that she discusses. Plus, this subject is only a small part of the whole book.
Hey it's Marisa Graf and I'd love to be able to check your blog every now and then... my email address is growin_peaches@hotmail.com!
Looks like it would be worth reading. Just have to sit down and do it!!
Hey! I'm a friend of Josh's from high school (aka Kim Cory). I just wanted to drop a little note and tell him his aunt and uncle are in my ward! We moved to the east coast this summer and were actually visiting Ann and Randy Harris last Sunday when we put it all together. Small world, huh? Todd and Ashley were there too and Ashley and I actually hung out this past week to let our kids play together. Anyway, it's just crazy how small the world - or church - can be. Ann and Randy are awesome. I'm glad I got to know them a little better.

jennaferdie@yahoo.com...good luck on the whole vegan thing. However, she was on Oprah months ago and I have to say other than her extream eating, I feel that it is totaly true. What a great read for anyone, ofcourse with gospel principles in mind as well. Good for you.
So I read the reviews on this I feel (wihout reading the book mind you) tha it can be summed up in a paragraph. Other than the "leaning" part, (which I like myself) it seems to just reiterate everything we already know we should do. True?
I would love to keep reading about your family! My email address is Linzy9282@aol.com

I thought I left a comment a while ago, sorry. I for sure would like to keep checking out your blog. It is my communication with you, since we are both sooo busy.
Hi Rachel. I'm glad you kept this up as long as you did. I would like an invite. Sometimes you get the urge to see how old high school friends are doing. :) jillianjuarez@gmail.com
It was so great to see you! Thanks so much for hosting us. Ethan still talks about Maddie. I seriously think he's in love with her. I can see why!

Hello Rachel! You probably don't even remember me (I went to Cimarron, graduated in '98). I found your blog a while back and started to check it out occasionally because you have the cutest little family! I would love to get an invite!
diannemowens (at) gmail (dot) com
Oh, I forgot! I keep a blog for my family, too. Let me know if you would like an invitation!
Rachel. It is now time to sit down for 5 minutes and tell me what you have been doing the last month.
Hi Dianne! Nice to "see" you again. I don't know how to email you to ask for an invitation!
Stacey, I was sorta hoping that if I left the blog alone for long enough, people would stop noticing that I never update it. :o) Besides, why does Kyle get away with it? Being the middle child with crooked teeth sucks!
Hi Rachel,
I'm really late in responding, but I'd love to have access to your blog if you go private. :) I like to drop in on all my cousins' blogs every once in awhile to see how you're doing. Thanks! Cousin Kim (kimhowey@hotmail.com)
