Aloha

We went back to Disney's Aulani Resort in Hawaii for the 4th of July. This time we got to meet a bunch of friends there and it was super fun.

Maddie is cross stitching a bib for her baby brother. She also had a fully charged iPad and a whole set of markers. Thank heavens she is such a lovely little traveler.

First mandatory stop was Matsumoto's Shaved Ice.

The breakfast buffets have a little section just for kids - kid sized. Maddie loved it.

And we made some new friends.

These two pictures have to be out of some kind of idyllic childhood story or something. How magical does this little beach lagoon look?

Maddie found lots of coral and shells and rocks. Josh helped her look them up on Google to see what they were. I'm the one that had to sneak them into the trash when she wasn't looking. She seriously had rocks as big as an orange and I didn't want to deal with carrying them home. One day, when she reads this blog, she will hate me. Sorry Maddie.

I didn't leave the shade pretty much the entire time. I'm already starting to have to fight contractions and I'm only six months along. It was the perfect excuse to sit on a lounge chair and read - my kind of vacation!

While Maddie partied in the kid's play house, Josh and I just hung out. These are the best moments. (Yes - I know I have huge arches. No - I was never a ballerina.)

Maddie almost won the hula hoop contest.

And snorkeled in their fish pond. I love that they have a safe fish pond for snorkeling. It's super convenient for paranoid moms who grew up watching Jaws at young, impressionable ages.

What a fun vacation! I didn't even know disney had a resort in Hawaii until I saw Jenny (Herrera) post about it on Facebook. It's officially going on our bucket list. Isn't Disney the best???

That looks totally freaking awesome! Man, I wish you were my mom.=) But really, you look so adorable in that first picture. It made my heart happy. PS. Wish my kids would fall asleep like that! They won't sleep in the car. period.
