Tingey Family Reunion Weekend

Grandma rented a party bus and we all piled in to go to the Tingey Family Reunion in Utah. I know family reunions have a reputation of being lame or weird, but I have looked forward to these reunions my whole life. The only bad part is that Jack was 20 months old and I couldn't tie him to a tree, so I barely got to talk to anyone for more than 30 second increments.

Josh couldn't come to the reunion because of his rockstar gig, so he decided to fly in for a few hours. He flew right over the house and waved out the window. That was pretty rockstar too.

On the drive home, we were lucky enough to stop and visit our beloved Grandma Harris. She always makes us feel so loved.

Hoosiers

We needed to get out of the Vegas heat for the summer, so we went to visit the grandparents in Indiana. Jack's head was so sweaty underneath that gorgeous golden hair, so I buzzed it all off. Maddie was REALLY mad at me for that. She said he looked more evil with the short hair.

My favorite thing was going out on the lake. It was so pleasant because it wasn't 115 degrees. We had such a fun day.

I swear these two are twins and soul mates.

Once we had left and were in our hotel, I found a tick on Jack's back and one on Maddie leg. %&$@! I quickly googled what to do and then saved my poor little kids from these evil, evil bug beasts. You have to be so fearless when you're a mom!

Jack was surprisingly not a crazy beast on the plane ride home.  It was a great little vacation.

Our House in the Middle of the Street

We moved again! We moved into a high rise, and even though you would think it isn't fun for kids - it totally is! Jack and Maddie drive their bikes and scooters in the house, Jack has his meals at the window so he can watch the cars and rabbits go by, we love swimming in our pool (we've never had one before!), and Jack loves using the bidet as his own personal water fountain. It's a happy home.

Summer Lovin - Had Me A Blast

Maddie spent the Fourth of July in Utah with her cousins. She has been terrified of fireworks her whole life, but she LOVES her cousins.

Even though her cousins do this to her when she falls asleep first. Haha!

Both our kids tried a new sport this summer...but neither of them lasted very long. Athleticism doesn't exactly run through my blood. They looked adorable in their soccer and softball uniforms though.

Maddie and Jack are becoming each others' best friends. I'm so grateful they have each other.

Jack is SUPER obsessed with popsicles, but refuses to eat the "icky purple" ones.

Jack had his first hole in his sock. I thought it was adorable, but Jack was terrified of it.
