Hiking the white rocks at Red Rock

Yes, Josh and I travel a lot. We are lucky to have that interest in common, and probably feed off each other a little too much. But sometimes the greatest beauty and fun family times are in your own backyard. We live just down the street from the beautiful Red Rock canyon and thought we would take advantage of the perfect spring weather. Maddie is learning about plants at school, so she pointed out all 278 cacti that we saw on our hike.

That last picture was of Maddie holding up her white silk rose purse  and stuffed frog that she carried the entire hike. She named her frog "Gwen Stefani," but Josh calls her "Gwen Stefroggi."

Seeing cactus and dirt brings back memories. The desert can be a beautiful place, especially after the rain.
Little girls purses with all their "personal possessions" are so cute.

I don't know if we can still be twins if you really enjoy hiking that much!
