Mrs. Brightside

Maddie was studying economics. Yes. In third grade. She and her buddy sold jellyfish for their business. Of course, I bought as many as I could carry back to the car.

If I think back to my childhood, I played in dirt piles A LOT. Yeah, I was a dirty (and happy!) kid. Maddie got to go experience the happiness of dirt piles on her cousins' new lot.

Maddie said she wanted to start wearing pants with her uniform because the adorable little dress uniforms were for little kids. She picked her uniform pants out online and sent me the link. When did she get so old!?

My little sunshine girl.

She got sick last week and threw up at the doctor's office. Thinking back, I guess it is better than all over my carpet.

It turns out that Maddie loves hockey. The cold, the fist fights, the slamming against the walls. The whole thing. Josh couldn't be happier that he finally has someone who will go to the games with him.

Maddie is obsessed with The Killers. So when she and Josh passed Brandon Flowers at her school, they couldn't help themselves. They asked for a picture, and he was nice enough to stop and pose with her.

Maddie got all spontaneous on me and decided to cut all her hair off. She would be adorable if she was bald.

Uncle Kyle hired Maddie to paint some pictures for his office. She is taking it very seriously. Thank you Uncle Kyle for this opportunity!

Maddie was studying Mexico this year. She and her buddy decided to focus on Mexican artists. I loved seeing how proud she was to show off what she learned.
