Keeping up with the Jack Man

Sooo.....Jack learned to army crawl. Just in time for our impending international flight. Oh. Yeah. (Read with absolutely zero enthusiasm please.) He's still a bit of a novice, so he sometimes gets stuck in corners or up against a wall and yells out for mom to come save him.

Most of our day is spent just like this. Looking at each other and laughing.

I finally found a hat that fits on his big, huge, grande head. He looks adorable in it.

Well, now this just borders on stalking.

But we still do it about a hundred times every day together. He can't get enough of talking to his Elmo friend.

Jack loves air drumming and Josh loves giving him tips.

Jack attacked and trashed all of Grandpa Rick's treats and presents at his 60th birthday party. He has officially become a psycho.

When Maddie was in Utah for a whole week, Jack missed her terribly. But he sure was happy when I brought him in there and let him play with all of the toys that she usually doesn't let him touch. He did damage.

He got a new walker. Less for his entertainment and more just to coral him.

He found "a baby" at a cafe that he absolutely despised. He must have thought that he was grumpy and mean because he kept giving "that baby" dirty looks for twenty minutes.

But don't feel bad for him. He also found a friend AFTER his nap that he absolutely loved and laughed with and played with for twenty minutes. Ha!

I will miss these days when he is taller than me someday.

Josh experienced "Dad Panic" when there was an accident during diaper change. Jack was very pleased with himself.

Jack has been having more playdates with his brother cousin. They basically roll around, wrestle a little, and stare at each other a lot.

Jack is loving these slimy little snails that are all over the place in California. If I didn't step in and save those poor snails, they would have no hope and become an endangered species.

Jack sort of likes his mommy and me swim class. I think it is the most fun thing of my day!

Jack is very busy doing very important things.

First time on a swing.

First time on grass that is soft and green and cool and doesn't slice your skin open.
