It really is crooked!
Maddie was absolutely terrified to climb up the tower. Her Grandma Linda told her that people don't get to climb the tower because they are afraid the tower could fall at any time. But apparently, since my mom has been there they "reinforced the foundation" and now allow people to climb the tower. I tried to hide my skepticism of the safety, but Maddie wasn't buying it. She smiled at the top just long enough for a picture, but then raced down the stairs as fast as she could.
Oh my goodness, she is adorable. This picture could have been taken in any century of a little peasant girl cooling off at the city fountain. I mean....seriously....adorable.
If you are ever so lucky as to travel with this lovely family, let me just warn you ahead of time that there will be LOTS of gelato. Maddie ate so much gelato that she went cross eyed!
