Jack's Stuff

Looking like a big boy. And looking like a Harris.

Spending time with his best friend while Maddie is in singing lessons.

Learning to roll over. He has the cutest big head.

Seeing his feet for the first time.

Loving on his favorite toy Sophie the Giraffe.

Not particularly loving his first day at the beach. It didn't help that it was freezing.

About to go in for his eye duct surgery. The nurses said he was the calmest baby they have every seen.

He didn't love waking up from the surgery. He was totally on drugs and I kept thinking about that YouTube video of David After The Dentist.

He thinks Elmo is the coolest guy on Earth.

He absolutely loves, loves, loves being outdoors. Which puts me into panic attacks when I think about how hot it is getting.

He also loves to watch sports on tv with his Dad. He will sit there forever and watch it. It's like an answer to Josh's prayers that he would have a kid that was into sports.

Of course, I am still doing my part to brainwash him into liking sports.

Enjoying his cousin's Little League game.

He was born with some issues with his heart, but his cardiologist said that the issues seem to be healing themselves as he gets older. I'm very proud of myself for not freaking out over this. His doctor also said that he is the calmest baby he has ever seen.

Looking particularly studly.

This was the first time that I came back into the room and he had moved. Since then, he now rolls all over the room and I usually find him stuck in a corner somewhere.

His very first man cold. He didn't handle it very well. But what guy handles a man cold well? I swear they act like it's the end of the world.

Still grumpy with his man cold.

He had to retake his passport picture because the first one didn't have a plain enough background. I was annoyed at first, since I specifically went to the post office to take the picture so that it would be exactly what the government asked for. But I love this new passport picture even more. What a happy baby! The lady taking the picture said she has never seen a more calm baby. Are you catching the common theme here?

Still loving on his favorite Sophie toy.

Maddie's Stuff

Maddie did a presentation on Sacagewea on Famous American Day at school.

She wanted to find a book on fractions at the library. I don't know how to explain it, but I like it.

I took her and some friends to a 3D movie.

She wrote this hilarious report on a very special incident that happened last year. (click here)

She loves to organize and sew things. Just like her mama.

She is never more happy or silly than when she is with her Sister Cousin in Utah.

Except maybe when she is doing artsy things with her artsy Grandma.

I love these pictures.

Somehow, despite my rule that we don't have pets, she always seems to sneak some in. (I blame Josh. He always feels bad and says yes even though I say no.) She now has these lovely pet fish, with the even more lovely pet names of Fabulous and Unique.

Mother Daughter date to the Smith Center for Beauty and the Beast. She looks so old, and I look fabulous in my faux fur sweater. Haha.

She has been taking voice lessons for a while now, so I am doing exactly what my mom used to do and volunteer her to sing at baptisms and sacrament meeting and anything else that I hear of.

She made this awesome "fort" under the stairs. It's her most favorite place in the world.
