Nile Lodge - Our Irish Happy Place

We moved to Nile Lodge, near downtown Galway. The house is cozy and happy. It was built by an Irish Navy Captain (or something like that), and we loved it. It was walking distance to some cool parks, restaurants, grocery shopping, and my school. It was perfect.

Josh quickly adjusted to his new role as stay-at-home dad. The kids loved it because he took them to the indoor or outdoor park every day. As you can imagine, he is VERY good at playing.

But once I got home, Josh was very happy to take his "dad break". Let's just say he was excited to get back to his "day job" of managing 70 employees instead.

Some happy moments

Making Irish friends at the park every day

Jack was VERY unhappy to see his clothes hanging in the kitchen. I actually thought it was fun to not have a dryer and do it the "old fashioned" way.

We brought Maddie's Harry Potter books (Thanks Karen!), and she has been completely engrossed in the world of wizards.

Family night in the town

Happy to find a delicious Thai restaurant

Learning to drive on the left

Date night on the harbor

"Share a Coke with Rachel" (It actually says that on the label. How cool is that?! We acted out a commercial for Coke.)

Josh and Maddie played catch every evening. I think it was their favorite time of the day.
